So the MTB season close is upon us and its time to dust off the cross bike, blimey where did it go?

Since the last blog I have finished 6th @ round 4 of the southern xc series giving me 6th overall as well, not too bad considering I have missed 2 rounds. Next up was the National champs @ Pippingford, I had aimed to peak for this race as its the one chance of the year I get to race the Elite boys. On the day my legs felt ok, not great and I think I know where I went wrong so I have learnt from the experience, a terminal mechanical forced me to walk the last 3k and I ended up with 30th. Before the race I would have taken this but there was such a high attrition rate in this race I would have liked a better result but it wasn’t to be. The mechanical was so serious it ended my season as it has taken this long to get the replacement parts!

Now I am looking forward to a rest before building up over the winter months with a few Lndon cyclo cross league events thrown in. I am also on the lookout for a new bike and possibly a new team, what this space things they are a changing……..

I’d like to thank all the people who have helped me this year, Bikefood for great energy products, Steve @ sps distribution and everyone else who has done their bit, you know who you are!
